Career
Born in Fukuoka. Graduated from Nihon University College of Art, Department of Braodcasting. Hirayama entered the movie industry when he started to work as a line producer for the title ”Seishun no satsujinsha” in 1976. He made his debut as a director with the movie ”Maria's Stomach” in 1990.
