Career

Aiko Masubuchi is a producer, film curator and translator based in New York and Tokyo. Masubuchi produced Neo Sora’s short film THE CHICKEN, which world premiered at Locarno International Film Festival in 2020 and has screened at numerous festivals worldwide. She graduated with honors from New York University in film and anthropology and holds a Master’s Degree in Visual and Critical Studies at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. As curator, she has organized film exhibitions at venues such as the Museum of Modern Art, Japan Society, and Film Forum in New York. She is an alumnus of IFFR Sessions in 2020 and a selected participant for Rotterdam Producer Lab in 2021.
