Etsuo Hiratani has finished the inaugural senior scriptwriting course of the Film School of Tokyo. In 2012 he debuted with his direct-to-video movie, in which he made a popular comic by Shinji Hiramatsu into live action. In 2013 he also debuted as a theatrical screenwriter with “Grateful Dead,” where he collaborated in writing with director Eiji Uchida.
