Career
Kaneko debuted as a director in 1984 with the movie ”Kōichirō Uno's Wet and Swinging” at Nikkatsu. He became a freelancer in 1986 and started to create content for the tv, too. After working on titles for Toei and Shochiku, he presented his first own project ”Summer Vacation 1999” which was selected at the New Directors/New Films presented by MOMA.
