- Born in Niigata. Hashimoto worked as an assistant director for movies by Shinichiro Sawai, Yasuo Furuhata and other directors. He made his debut as a director with the TV drama “Onyado Kawasemi”. He has directed various detective and historical drama series. His first theatrical movie was ”Another Battle/Conspiracy” in 2002.
