- Yazaki directed the movie ”Afternoon Breezes” in 1980 while studying at the Nihon University College of Art Cinema Department of Cinema. In 1992, he received Luis Buñuel's L'Age d'Or Award hosted by the Belgium Royal Family for his movie ”March Comes in Like a Lion”. He became an ambassador of the Agency for Cultural Affairs Overseas and went to the UK in 1996.
