- Career
- Maeda gained experience at the Toei movie studios in Tokyo as stage set and art assistant and later became a free assistant director. He participated in movies by various directors including Juzo Itami, Yojiro Takita, Junji Sakamoto, Masayuki Suo and more. He made his directorial debut in 1998 with the omnibus movie ”Pocky zaka koi monogatari” (Chief director: Shinji Somai).
