- In 2009, Ueda founded the film production group PANPOKOPINA which was later in 2019 incorporated as PANPOCOPINA Co., Ltd.. He made his commercial film debut with the omnibus movie ”Neko bun no 4” where he was the director and scriptwriter of the segment ”Neko manma”. His movie ”One Cut of the Dead” (2018) became a smash hit.
