- In 1988, Iguchi's 8mm film work ”WABISHABI” earned the Jury Award at the Image Forum Festival. After shooting pornographic films, he became a director for general movies. He is not only active as a director of movies and tv series, but also as an actor. His movie ”The Machine Girl” (2007) became a big hit and made Iguchi's name known internationally.
