- Kaihei SHIOTA was born in Tottori and raised in Tokyo Japan.
He studied film critics at Yokohama National University, and after graduation, he worked in planning and producing films, commercial films.
In 2016-2017, he served as a jury member of the film selection at the Pia Film Festival (Japan's largest independent film competition).
In 2017, he co-founded EIZOH LABORATORY INC.
In 2018, he co-founded the creative label MOTION GALLERY STUDIO in collaboration with MOTION GALLERY, the leading creative crowdfunding platform in Japan.
He produced films including The Ark in the Mirage(2015) and West North West(2015).
- The Ark in the Mirage was premiered at the 50th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival (Forum of Independents: Competition).
- West North West was premiered at Busan International Film Festival 2015 (New Currents).
EIZOH LABORATORY INC. was founded as a film production company managed by producer Kaihei SHIOTA.
