Career
Born in Nagano prefecture. After working as programming manager and chief producder at Nikkatsu, he entered My Theater D.D.. In 1991, Chiba produced his first work "Zeiram" (directed by Keita Amemiya). Later, he produced further works including "Battlefield Baseball" (2003, directed by Yudai Yamaguchi), "YATTERMAN" (2009, directed by Takashi Miike), "COLD FISH" (2011, directed by Shion Sono), "THE DEVIL'S PATH" (2013, directed by Kazuya Shiraishi) and more. The movie "THE MACHINE GIRL" (2008, directed by Noboru Iguchi) enjoyed high popularity due to its niche characteristics and extreme violence that became a hot topic overseas. Making use of those experiences, he founded a label called "SUSHI TYPHOON", its main target being overseas audiences. He also produced "Death Row Family", the major debut of director Yuki Kobayashi, who is known for his work "Kamikaze Cowboy".
