- Born in Yamanashi prefecture, Daisuke Kamijyo debuted as a director and screenwriter with his documentary film, "Hee and She". In addition to receiving an official invitation to the 66th Berlin International Film Festival’s Forum section and the 20th Hong Kong International Film Festival for "Hee", his film "No one but I know" won the Runner-Up award at the Kyoto International Film and Art Festival and the Best Short Film award at the Japanese Serbian Film Festival. In 2019, he began writing plays, such as "Battle Without Honor and Humanity (Hakataza Theatre)" and "Love Story Out of Vaudville (Mitsukoshi Theater)". As of 2020, he is expanding his activities by working on new films with Hong Kong’s great Tsui Hark.
