Hideki Shishido was writing scripts under playwright Masahiro Kakefuda, who was the instructor in the Scenario Course he took for one year in 2000. In 2013, his work "Cross" was awarded 39th Kido Prize, which is known as a gateway to success for rookie playwrights. In 2017, he debuted as a playwright with a movie based on his prize-winning work "Cross."
