- Subaru Yamashita moved to Tokyo from Osaka in 2012. After extensive part-time work experience, he began writing scenarios on his own in 2017, and won the grand prize in the scenario writer division of AbemaTV's Next Creator's (Vol. 1) competition in 2018. Yamashita is a fan of Yuji Sakamoto's early works and Yamashita's award-winning work has been described as having a quality reminiscent of Sakamoto's early works. Yamashita specializes in careful depictions of the emotions of his characters and creates human dramas that depict themes such as love, family and friendship, in a fresh way.
