Motofumi Tomikawa is a writer, who is from Aichi prefecture Ichinomiya-shi. He has graduated from Ichinomiya high school, and Tama Art University department of Sculpture Design.
When Motofumi Tomikawa was a elementary school teacher, he was awarded by NHK Creative TV Drama Screenwriting Open Offer. After, he kept writing while working as a teacher. In 1982, Motofumi Tomikawa was selected for the production team of period drama “Touge no Gunzou”, then started working as a freelance writer. He wrote TV show scenarios, movie scenarios, novels and play scenarios. He now also teaches at Japan University department of Arts and Theater, Tokyo Writer’s University and his private academy. He organized writing conference. In 2001, he went to receive education in Tukey as a International Art Trainee of Agency for Cultural Affairs.
